PhysioPhilosophy is a creative space to allow you to recover, to be inspired and most importantly learn ways to keep your body healthy and injury free. Founded in 2017, the owner Catriona wanted to create a clinic that embodies the best of her experiences.

Catriona trained in Glasgow, her home town, gaining a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in 1995. Since then she has worked all over the UK, gaining extensive experience across diverse healthcare venues including the NHS, Private practise and Armed Forces. She is dynamic and knowledgeable, committed to research and evidence based practise, specifically in the areas of Musculoskeletal Injuries, Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation. In 2011 she completed her Sports and Exercise Post-Graduate Diploma at Cardiff Metropolitan University. For the last 15 years, she has worked for the Ministry of Defence, enabling injured and wounded military personnel to return promptly to full military fitness and sport. Catriona recently returned from Belgium where she lived and worked for two years for the charity SAFFA, establishing a physiotherapy service for service personnel based in Europe. In 2016 she moved to the beautiful county of Herefordshire with her family and founded PhysioPhilosophy.
Catriona is passionate about increasing activity levels and injury prevention in children, so that our younger generation can be inspired and empowered to stay strong and healthy. She has recently been appointed the Lead Physiotherapist for Hereford Cathedral School where she provides physiotherapy, rehabilitation, injury prevention strategies and pitch-side management for pupils. The clinic is attached to the Hereford Cathedral School enabling a close working relationship with the medical staff and coaches to provide a streamlined and consistent centralised support.
Catriona also commits part of her working time as a Specialist Physiotherapist for the Wye Valley NHS Trust, for the British University and College Sports (BUCS) and is a Physiotherapist Contractor for British Gymnastics.
